AB Volvo’s IT hiring activity rises 2.0% in May 2022

Sweden-based company AB Volvo’s IT hiring rose 2.0% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.93% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 9.73% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.18% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AB Volvo IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AB Volvo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 54.26% in May 2022, and a 24.39% rise over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 23.4% in May 2022, and registered growth of 29.41%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20.21% in May 2022, a 72.73% rise from April 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at AB Volvo

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 52.13% share, which marked a 25.64% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 28.72%, registering a 35% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 14.89% share and a 27.27% rise over April 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.26% and a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.

Sweden commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 34.04% share in May 2022, an 18.52% growth over April 2022. India featured next with a 27.66% share, up 52.94% over the previous month. US recorded a 14.89% share, an increase of 27.27% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AB Volvo IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.21%, up by 24.53% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.02% share, a decline of 5.88% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.77% share, up 100% over April 2022.
