Sweden-based company AB Volvo’s IT hiring remained flat in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.43% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.1% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.25% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AB Volvo IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AB Volvo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.68% in June 2022, and a 10.61% rise over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 27.21% in June 2022, and registered growth of 8.82%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.56% in June 2022, a 35% drop from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AB Volvo

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 48.53% share, which marked a 69.23% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 41.91%, registering a 12.31% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with an 8.82% share and a 36.84% drop over May 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.74% and a month-on-month decline of 75%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 44.12% share in June 2022, a 57.89% growth over May 2022. Sweden featured next with a 22.79% share, down 29.55% over the previous month. US recorded an 8.09% share, a decline of 42.11% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AB Volvo IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.09%, flat growth from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 35.29% share, a growth of 45.45% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.62% share, down 40% over May 2022.
