Sweden-based company AB Volvo’s IT hiring declined 10.% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.49% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 14.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 0.23% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AB Volvo IT hiring in July 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by AB Volvo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.84% in July 2022, and a 28% drop over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 27.37% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 29.73%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.42% in July 2022, a 42.86% drop from June 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at AB Volvo
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 42.11% share, which marked a 34.43% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 38.95%, registering a 43.94% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 17.89% share and a 41.67% rise over June 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.05% and a month-on-month flat growth.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 33.68% share in July 2022, a 46.67% decline over June 2022. Sweden featured next with a 28.42% share, down 20.59% over the previous month. US recorded a 17.89% share, an increase of 54.55% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead AB Volvo IT hiring activity in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.11%, down by 28.92% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.37% share, a decline of 45.83% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.47% share, flat growth over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.05%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
