A subsidiary of Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd, CCA is the fourth Peugeot distributor since the French company first entered the market in the 1960s, AutoAsia said.
Cycle & Carriage is also the French automaker’s assembler and distributor in Indonesia, through its equity stake in Astra International, AutoAsia added.
CCA will import Peugeot cars from the 1.4-litre 206 to the 2.2-litre 607 fully assembled this year and is aiming for at least 1,000 sales. Local assembly is under consideration for an early-2003 start, AutoAsia said.
