A lawsuit has been filed on GM alleging racial slurs, intimidation and civil rights violations at a Michigan plant, according to a Bloomberg report.
The Bloomberg report says that the Wayne County Circuit Court lawsuit was filed by black, Mexican American and American Indian workers seeking class-action status.

The report says that the lawsuit catalogues a number of racial incidents at the plant, including nooses suspended over a workstation and two black employees being confronted by a co-worker in a Ku Klux Klan-style outfit.
‘While most of the allegations in the complaint are untrue, there was a small number of unfortunate incidents at the facility,” said company spokesman Tom Wickham, reading from a statement and quoted in the Bloomberg report. “GM does not condone such activities.”
Wickham added that the worker in the Ku Klux Klan-style costume was suspended for 29 days without pay and a salaried employee was fired after making derogatory racial comments to workers.
