Ford has reportedly said that it will sell some of its cars in Venezuela for dollars in order to import parts and resume production at its Venezuelan facility.

Bloomberg reported that the dollar deal will apply to some Ford vehicles but not all.

Ford has halted production in Venezuela due to the shortage of foreign currency

Venezuela is in the grip of a deepening political and economic crisis caused, in part, by price and exchange controls imposed by the government. The collapse in the price of oil has further hit the Venezuelan economy and resulted in shortages of many goods previously imported.
