Automotive parts maker ArvinMeritor on Tuesday said it had launched a $US2.2 billion hostile takeover effort for rival Dana Corporation, Reuters reported. According to Reuters, ArvinMeritor said it decided to take its offer of $15 per share directly to Dana shareholders after Dana's board rejected its approaches.
