Tesla has said it will establish seven supercharging networks in major cities and popular travel destinations in China in the second half of this year.
Tesla has its second largest charging network in China (after the US) with hundreds of supercharging stations and more than 1,400 public charging poles in operation across China.
Earlier this year Tesla’s China growth strategy appeared to hit a bump in the road as stock ballooned and the distribution company shed some of its staff. However, Tesla sees the Chinese market as a key long-term growth opportunity.
