Mercedes-Benz set new sales records in July.
Unit volume last month rose 15.2% year on year to 149,753 while year to date sales were up 14.7% to 1,048,178 due to strong sales of the C-Class and compact models.
It’s the first time Mercedes has sold 1m units the first seven months of a year.
“About a quarter of them are C-Class Saloons and estates,” marketing and sales chief Ola Källenius said.
A new YTD sales record was set in Europe as volume rose 11.3% to 457,468.
NAFTA region sales were up 3.9% to 31,483 while Asia Pacific growth last month was 30.8% to 47,838 units. Chinese sales rose 41.5% to 29,540.
