Kongsberg Automotive’s fluid transfer business has won a contract worth an estimated EUR6m (US$6.83m) to supply air brake connectors to “one of Europe’s major truck manufacturers”.

Production will commence later in 2015 at Raufoss in Norway.

The supplier said its ABC connector range is a lightweight, component that enables truck brake systems to be routed and assembled in the most efficient manner, saving both time in design and assembly.

“This is our first award with this particular customer and is another example of the global market moving towards our composite high tech solutions for air brake systems,” said sales chief David Redfearn.
