New car sales in Spain rose 3.6% year-on-year in August to 82,486 units, the National Carmakers’ Association ANFAC said on Monday, according to Reuters.

Four-wheel-drive [SUV] sales rose 14.4% to 5,885 units, the report noted.
In the first eight months of the year, new car sales were up 0.7% year-on-year to 933,343 units while four-wheel drive sales climbed 8.7% to 53,219 units in the eight-month period, Reuters added.
