Hankook Tyre UK says it is continuing to support the Air Ambulance Critical Care car fleet throughout 2020.

The partnership between the company and the Air Ambulance was established in 2017 when the first sets of tyres were donated.

Since the partnership began, the Air Ambulance Service has been able to switch to operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and has extended its car fleet with the addition of two new Škoda Kodiaqs.

The charity, which relies solely on public donations, operates its Rapid Response Critical Care Cars and Air Ambulances across the five counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland in the UK.

Due to the high speeds and distances undertaken by the Rapid Response Critical Care cars, the tyres must be changed frequently. The donations from Hankook ensure the Air Ambulance Service has the tyres to hand.

“Having the continued support and partnership with Hankook Tyre enables our fleet of Critical Care Cars to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing critical interventions and treatments to the patients that are in their time of need,” said Airbase manager, Karl Bexon.
