Suzuki will launch its Across 4WD petrol PHEV SUV in Autumn 2020, the first model supplied by Toyota on an OEM basis as part of a model sharing deal announced in March 2019. UK sales of RHD variants are set to start in November 2020 and will be followed soon by a second model, the Swace, based on the UK made Corolla Estate Hybrid.

The Across has detail styling, interior trim and specification differences from the RAV4 donor model. The powertrain is identical to that of the RAV4 PHEV (Prime in some countries): a 137kW and 227Nm 2.5-litre Atkinson Cycle petrol engine plus an electric motor on each axle (134kW and 270Nm front; 40kW and 121Nm rear) driving through an e-CVT. CO2 emissions are just 22g/km and battery capacity is 18.1kWh.
