USA: Goodyear Q3 sales fall $US200 million year-on-year
The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company has reported net income of $US33.7 million (20 cents per share) for the third quarter of 2002. Net income in the third quarter of 2001 was $9.3 million (6 cents per share). Worldwide, Goodyear's third quarter sales were $3.5 billion in 2002, versus $3.7 billion in 2001. Tyre unit volume in 2002's third quarter was 54.4 million units, down 4% from last year.
