Neale Hill took over as Ford's managing director of South Africa and sub Saharan Africa this week.
South African native Hill, 50, replaced Casper Kruger, a seasoned automotive professional with over 20 years' experience, who decided to leave "and take on a new personal endeavour", Ford SA said in a statement.
Hill, previously Ford SA's director of marketing, sales & service, has experience both locally and internationally. During his 25-year career at the automaker, he has worked in various roles including sales, marketing and at general management level.
He will report to Mark Ovenden, Ford's president, Middle East & Africa.
In his new role, Hill will be responsible for growth in the company operations across the region.
"Neale has a wealth of experience in the market and we are thrilled and fortunate to be able to draw on his talent and experience in this role. Neale's customer focus combined with his deep brand and product experience in South Africa and across sub Sahara will be an incredible asset as we move the business forward," Ovenden.
