GM said yesterday that 130,000 UAW would receive cheques of a little over $US900 and the company is also expected to issue some form of profit-sharing to its 49,000 white-collar workers.

The approximately 65,700 UAW workers at Chrysler will receive between $500 and $1,000 but Ford will likely not issue profit-sharing cheques to its employees, the newspaper said. Last year, none of the Big Three car makers shared profits with workers.
