Johnson Controls has announced the appointment of Rande Somma as president of the company’s automotive systems group.
In his new role, Somma, 50, will be responsible for the global automotive interiors business, a major supplier of seating and interior systems worldwide.
The announcement was made by Johnson Controls. Mr. Somma will report to president and CEO John Barth and, , with regard to operations outside North America, executive vice president and president, international, Giovanni Fiori.
Somma, became head of the North American business for the automotive interiors group in 2000.
Since joining Johnson Controls in 1988, he has held a variety of positions with responsibility for interior systems, marketing, sales, business development and the General Motors and Honda business units.
