New vehicle sales in Thailand rose by 4.6% to 76,426 units in November from 73,068 units a year earlier, according to data released by the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI).

This is the first year on year increase in well over two years and mostly reflects strong demand for pick-up based vehicles ahead of expected price increases in 2016 resulting from changes to vehicle excise taxes at the end of 2015.
