Harman  has started production of connected car and audio solutions for the Hyundai Genesis G90.

Harman’s designed and built embedded infotainment system for the Genesis G90, includes 2D and 3D navigation, high definition mapping, voice commands, enhanced Bluetooth hands free connectivity, multimedia support and a 200GB hard drive.

The supplier’s system also includes dual 9.2″ rear seat monitors for back-seat connectivity and entertainment, while embedded connectivity is supported through an integrated 4G/LTE modem.

The Korean version of the Genesis G90 – the EQ900 – is also the first mass-produced car with partially autonomous driving says Harman.

It comes with a highway driving assist system which enables hands-free driving as well as a lane guidance system and cruise control.

These features will be supported through the Harman infotainment system to help control vehicle speed by recognising speed limits.
