Visteon says the jointly developed voice-controlled system will allow BMW drivers the wireless and hands-free use of mobile phones.

Visteon’s Bluetooth Interface Module with Visteon Voice Technology extends voice control from vehicle systems to consumer devices.
The so-called integration solution enables data and voice commands to be easily transferred, helping drivers manage their information, entertainment and communication. The hands-free system, featured mainly in telecommunications products until now, integrates the benefits of Bluetooth wireless technology with Visteon’s Voice Technology and applies it to automotive applications.
