There’s been an early ‘oops’ with the redesigned 2015 Honda Fit [Jazz] for North America.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Honda is recalling 6,292 of the cars made from 11 April to 9 June this year because they may have been assembled with an A-pillar interior cover designed for vehicles without side curtain air bags.

“The incorrect A-pillar interior cover may adversely affect the performance of the side curtain air bags increasing the risk of occupant injury,” NHTSA said in an emailed bulletin.
Dealers will install the correct cover, if necessary, free of charge in a recall expected to begin on 25 September.
Production for NAFTA markets shifted from Japan to a new plant in Mexico with the launch of the redesigned Fit earlier this year.
