Until now, Calsonic Kansei has imported finished products from Thailand for Indian customers. It decided to build the new plant in response to rising demand.

In this first phase, production will be transferred from other locations and the plant should reach planned annual output of 600,000 compressors in the second half of 2015.

Other products will be added later as Indian demand rises.
