With the opening of new assembly facilities and the launch of new vehicles, Ford expects to increase its sales in China.
Reuters reported the company plans to open the Chongqing plant in late 2014 and the Hangzhou plant in 2015. Chongqing will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles, while Hangzhou plant will manufacture 250,000 vehicles per year.

Meanwhile, later this month, Ford plans to launch Lincoln in China and plans to open eight dealers.
Ford China chairman and CEO John Lawler said, “We look forward to our continued growth in China as we prepare to launch our new assembly plants … (and) new nameplates such as the Escort and the Mustang within the next few months.”
