Mercedes-Benz has launched GLA-Class in China, CarNewsChina.com reported. The price of the model ranges from CNY289,800 (US$47,217) to CNY398,000.

The model is available in two variants – the 200 with a 156hp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, and the 260 with a 211hp 2.0 turbo.

At present, the vehicle is being imported by the company to China. Mercedes plans to begin the local production of the GLA in mid-2015 at the Beijing-Benz joint venture. The will bring down the price of the model by around 20%.
