The successor for the Acura TL sedan will be revealed as a prototype at the Detroit auto show in January.
American Honda says it will begin selling the production version, the 2015 Acura TLX, from the second half of the year. The TLX will also be the effective successor for the TSX, which will be discontinued by the end of the 2014 model year.
The TLX Prototype was designed in Acura’s Los Angeles Design Studio and the production model is being developed at American Honda’s Ohio R&D centre. The car will be manufactured at the division’s Marysville 1 plant, also in Ohio.
