The recently expanded BMW-Brilliance car making joint venture will expand engine manufacturing in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
Its current new engine plant was BMW’s first outside Europe.

According to China Daily, the joint venture said the new plant would double annual production capacity from 200,000 engines to 400,000. The plant would begin production in 2015.
Construction will start in 2013 and BMW-Brilliance will fund the plant itself.
