Chuo Spring is expanding US precision spring production with a sales target of $US4.2 million for 2002. A 100 percent-owned US subsidiary, CPG, was established last spring in Kentucky and its 2001 sales are expected to reach $1.3 million, including orders from the US operations of Toyota and Honda.

Chuo Spring has invested 250 million yen ($2 million) in CPG, including production facilities transferred from Kentucky control cable subsidiary ACK Controls, and plans to increase staff to keep up with rising demand.
