Indonesia’s largest automotive components group, PT Astra Otoparts, announced the establishment of two new wholly-owned subsidiaries.
One of the companies – PT Autoplastik Indonesia – plans to build a new plastic components plant in Karawang, West Java, near Toyota’s new small car plant.

The second company, PT Velasto Indonesia, will produce rubber based components including hose and drive belts for passenger cars and motorcycles in Purwakarta, also in West Java.
Astra Otoparts, which is controlled by the country’s largest automotive distributor, PT Astra International, now comprises 19 separate subsidiary companies.
