Renault India increased the price of its locally assembled Duster SUV model line by up to INR40,000 (US$758) from today (1 October), citing rising raw material costs and foreign exchange fluctuations.

The SUV has attracted 20,000 orders since its launch in July, Business Standard reported. Renault India MD Marc Nassif said: “Facing an increase in raw material prices and instability in foreign exchange, factors which are beyond our control, we had to increase the retail price of Renault Duster.”
