The new car was designed and engineered at the automaker’s technical centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany with styling in line with the recently launched D segment i40.

Hyundai gave no powertrain details but the outgoing model was offered with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines and manual or automatic transmissions and in five-door hatchback and wagon body styles. UK magazines expect Hyundai to offer a turbocharged 1.6 petrol engine and twin clutch automatic transmission this time around.
