Mahindra will launch its high-end SsangYong Rexton in India on 17 October in Mumbai, followed by launches in New Delhi and Bangalore and a phased introduction in other cities.

The Rexton is the first Ssangyong to be launched in India since Mahindra acquired the Korean SUV specialist in March 2011. The Rexton is sold in 66 countries including Korea, Europe and Russia.

This is the third generation Rexton which will be sold in India with a diesel engine.

Mahindra chairman Pawan Goenka said: “With the launch of the Rexton, we hope to further expand the Mahindra presence in the high-end SUV segment.”
