Honda Motor is recalling 310,773 locally-made Pilot sport utility vehicles in the United States due to faulty seat belt parts, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Subject to the recall are 2009-2011 model year Pilot vehicles manufactured from 13 March, 2008 to 30 August, 2011, according to a report Honda filed with the NHTSA cited by Kyodo News.

Honda said there were no reports of injury related to the defect. It will replace seat belts if necessary, after inspection.
There is a possibility that the stitching that secures the end of the driver and front passenger lap section of the seat belt may be incomplete or missing, leading the belt to detach from the anchor webbing and increasing the risk of personal injury in a crash, the report said.
Separately, Subaru maker Fuji Heavy Industries has reported to the NHTSA recalls of 295,123 units of 2002-2007 model year Imprezas and two other models due to defective suspension front control arms.
Fuji is also recalling 195,080 units of two models, the 2010-2011 Outback and Legacy due to problems with screen washers.
