During a three-day summit of industry ministers of the D8 [Developing 8] held in Istanbul, Turkey, Iran’s IKCO was appointed to design the D8 joint car in cooperation with Turkey and Indonesia.
During the summit, Turkey was designated to establish the D8 Society of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers within eight months.
