Ssangyong Motor will resume operations at its plants from next week following a production halt, according to reports in the Korean media.

“We plan to restart production at all assembly plants beginning Monday, as problems related to parts procurements have been resolved to some degree,” an official told the Yonhap news agency.
Ssangyong, which is 51.3% owned by SAIC filed for receivership earlier this month due to a liquidity crisis.
The company also subsequently halted production at its only vehicle assembly plant as a parts shortage took hold.
