Chevrolet’s new Spark minicar will make its production-specification debut at the Geneva show next month and goes on sale in Europe later this year.

It’s the first use of the Spark name in Europe but it has been used in other markets – such as India – for earlier versions of the GM Daewoo-designed Matiz.
The redesigned Spark will be sold in the USA, India and other core markets. Engines are 1.0 and 1.2-litre petrol units.
Chevrolet will also show its new Cruze range in Geneva – the four-door saloon line was unveiled in Paris last October and UK sales begin in July 2009.
UK market Cruze models will come with 1.6- or 1.8-litre petrol engines, and a two-litre diesel.
