TagAZ sold 25% more (66,824) Accents in 2008, 10,035 Sonatas, down 9.1%, and 5,722 Porter light commercials, off 45%.


It also sold 10,941 Santa Fe Classics, production of which began in April 2007, and 7,188 Elantra XD cars in 2008 which it began building last May.


Established in 1997, Rostov region-based TagAZ has produced Hyundais under licence from Korea’s Hyundai Motor since 2001.
