Citing an LG Chem official, the Maeil business newspaper said battery volume would depend on how many cars Ford sells. “The size and condition of the deal with Ford is similar to the one with GM,” the official added.
LG Chem is set to supply lithium-ion batteries for the Chevrolet Volt plug-in.
A spokesman at the supplier told Reuters nothing had been decided yet.
