Kyodo News said the automaker would be halting production at all six of its car and motorbike plants in Japan, except those producing cars for the domestic market, for four to 10 days next month.
The report said the halt would affect close to 4,000 workers, who will get three days’ reduced salary.
Suzuki is to shut down parts production for overseas assembly plants at its Kosai plant for six days. Meanwhile, car production at the Sagara plant will halt for 10 days.
