Toyota Motor Thailand expects to sell 11.5% more cars in 2010 than last year.
Kyoichi Tanada, president of Toyota Motor Thailand, told Kyodo News on Tuesday the company was optimistic about auto sales in Thailand this year given the ongoing recovery from the global financial crisis.

He said the stimulus packages launched by the Thai government last year were among the main factors helping the auto industry get back on track.
Toyota expects to sell 257,000 units, including 111,000 passenger cars and 146,000 commercial vehicles.
He also said that demand for hybrid cars by Thai consumers was increasing and that the company planned to produce more models for the market.
Commenting on the Thai political situation, he said the political conflict there would not affect sales, adding that the situation had continued for several years.
