Prime-Tass said that of the total, Amtel-Povolzhye produced 193,000 car tyres; 91,800 tyres for light trucks; 17,600 truck tyres; 2,200 tyres for agricultural vehicles and 4,100 motorcycle tyres.

Prime-Tass reported that the decrease in the company’s output was due to a suspension of production from the beginning of the year until the middle of February due to a shortage of working capital and falling consumer demand.

Russia’s auto industry is seeing much reduced volumes this year as the domestic market has slumped on the back of the economic crisis.
