Hyundai Motor Co said Wednesday it will recall a total of 47,300 vehicles of its Sonata sedan in South Korea and the United States next month due to a door-locks problem.
Subject to the recall are 46,000 of the Sonata sold in South Korea and another 1,300 sold in the United States, Hyundai said.
The problem with front-door latches could trap front-seat passengers when they try to open doors from the inside and depress the lock button simultaneously, Kyodo reported.
