Russian tyre producer Nizhnekamskshina has said that it produced 1.505m tyres in the first quarter of this year, a drop of 48.5% on the same period of last year.
It said that car tyre output dropped 39.4% on the year to 1.078m units.
Nizhnekamskshina had to suspend production in January as its major customers – AvtoVAZ, GAZ, Kamaz, and IzhAvto – suspended their production in the period, according to earlier reports.

Nizhnekamskshina resumed production on January 26.
