Fiat has shelved plans to send home about 5,000 Mirafiori workers from April 27 to May 3 on reduced pay, a source told Reuters.
“Workers that had been set for temporary layoffs will work as normal,” the source told the news agency.
The Reuters report noted that Fiat sales in Italy have risen recently, a sign that government incentives are helping to stimulate demand.
