Mitsubishi Motors has cut expected output for fiscal 2011 at its new plant in Russia by 20%, the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun reported Monday.

Without citing where it obtained the information, the paper said that the automaker’s decision was prompted by slack new car sales in the Russian market, Dow Jones noted.
Mitsubishi had expected to initially produce 160,000 vehicles at the plant annually, the Nikkan Kogyo added.
