Fiat Group has returned to profit with a second quarter net income of EUR113m (US$145m).

Trading profit more than doubled to EUR651m, while second quarter revenue was EUR14.8bn, up 12.5% compared to 2009.

The automaker said its cash flow generation was strong at EUR1bn, although it had net industrial debt of EUR3.7bn. Liquidity was EUR13.5bn.
