“Together AVL and NTC form the largest independent powertrain technology provider offering full technology solutions from analysis, through concept, design, testing and production implementation.”

NTC Powertrain helped develop Borg Warner’s DualTronic twin clutch technology and the design of the VW DQ250 (DSG) transmission during a 12 year exclusive retainer agreement that expired in February this year.

NTC has developed more than 12 dual clutch transmissions and five automatics that are currently in various stages of high volume production. It  will continue to operate from all of its current facilities and will be looking to further strengthen its team of engineers.

AVL employs 4.300 people worldwide and 2009 turnover was EUR600m.
