Toyota Motor Thailand has said that total market sales for Thailand in October were 53,271, an 8.8 percent rise from the same time last year, with the passenger car sector jumping 23.4 percent to 22,747 units.
“It’s the second consecutive month of gains and sales hit an 18-month high due to the recovery of private investment, benefits from the stimulus package and some higher crop prices,” Toyota Motor Thailand said in monthly release.
Cumulative auto sales for the first 10 months of the year were at 419,755 units, down 17.7 percent from the same period in 2008.
