GAZ attributed the move to growth of sales.

The vehicle maker may continue to operate six days per week through December.

The company had been operating three days per week in January–June and five days per week since July.

In July–September, the company sold 17,200 cars and light commercial vehicles. The company plans to sell around 18,500 vehicles in October–December.

Although the Russian vehicle market remains at low levels, the statement would appear to suggest that GAZ has wound down stocks and is now producing in line with market demand.
