Audi will produce A4, A5 and Q5 models at the plant and plans to start assembling Q7 and A6 models there in January 2010.
The decision to produce cars at the Kaluga-based plant was made in order to fulfill obligations to the Kaluga Region government to use the plant’s full capacity, Audi said earlier.
Volkswagen launched CKD kit production at the plant on 20 October after adding welding and painting facilities. It had previously built cars from SKD kits.
