In total, 173 vehicles including concept cars developed by Toyota (which has a factory nearby in Kyushu) and three other Japanese companies as well as 15 European and other non-Japanese brands were exhibited.


Four Japanese carmakers – Mazda, Mitsubishi, Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and Suzuki did not take part in the event amid the economic slump.
